Press Notes
"Sheets" is an alternative indie pop lull, pulling some influence from a modern RnB sound, bookended by spastic furies of sputtering electronic chaos. This track is accompanied by it's sister track, "Pointland," The other end of the musical spectrum, the yin to Sheets' yang, a cacophonous chaotic mess that drives and pounds a harsh but fun tune to oppose Sheets.
Empty Angels is the creation of Denton, TX-based multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, producer and song-writer, Nathan Clark. Anchored by a general knot of indie pop that ties all of his tracks together, Empty Angels has become a personal outlet of mental, emotional and spiritual expansion for Clark as he continues to improve upon his means of expression, delivering a unique blend of noise-inspired, psychedelic and heavily warped catchy tunes. Clark is also one of four minds at the helm of the Denton-based experimental rock group, Allegheny Drive, in which he writes, records and acts as percussionist for their audio barrage. In 2016, Allegheny Drive was fortunate enough to work with Bowling For Soup's Jaret Reddick as executive producer on 6 songs. With this passion for music, Clark also has recorded music for other bands of the DFW area such as shoegaze act Flowerbed, alternative rock band Bad Dad Jokes, Pop Punk trio Good Will, Goodwill, among others as he builds a homebase in Lil D.
The debut EP "Augmented Reality for Ugly Lovers" was self-released on February 14th, 2018. It is an amalgamation of styles such as noise, jazz, rock, electronica, and psych with it's notable singles "I Don't Have To Say Much" and "So Faded"
