"Thirsty Curses" by Thirsty Curses
Raleigh-based Thirsty Curses’ sound covers a vast array of rock ‘n roll subgenres including punk, folk, country, prog rock, 90s alternative, and pop. Indeed, as was noted by Alternative Addiction in its review of the band’s sophomore record All Shook Up (2018), “the band has an eclectic sound that touches on everything from punk rock to folk. They sound like a cross between the Avett Brothers and Rise Against. On [All Shook Up] that diverse sound is delightfully all over the place.” Dying Scene online music mag similarly raved “As schizophrenic as their genre influences seems to be, the one common denominator is that I dig every single track I’m hearing.”
On Thirsty Curses' eponymous label debut, the band continues to pull from a numerous genres and explores new styles with songs such as "Cold Black Ink" and "Racing Through the Daze," which exhibit the band's ever growing and evolving sound. Thirsty Curses has a little something for everybody. Be sure to check out their new record which is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other major streaming and download services.
Thirsty Curses is Wilson Getchell (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Kelley Otwell (lead guitar, background vocals), Phil Harrington (drums, background vocals), and Clayton Herring (bass guitar).
Thirsty Curses' self-titled debut via Spectra Music Group drops today on Friday, November 8th, 2019.
